During today’s half-hour presentation, discover a new twist on what InnerSea Discoveries Alaskan adventures are all about. During our training session we explore our newborn brand's creative Southeast Alaska custom-designed eight-day, seven-night “Inner Reaches” itineraries between Ketchikan and Juneau. We also describe our Ultimate Adventure which runs roundtrip Juneau with new areas discovered each of the 15 days. Lastly, we review our unique fifteen-day, fourteen-night itinerary that sails through 900 nautical miles of the Inside Passage between Seattle and Juneau.
Our discussion covers the difference between each itinerary and how they are designed to avoid the typical tourist-clogged towns in pursuit of up-close encounters with nature in a world where it is common to see whales, bears and sea lions in the same day.
Adventure activities abound each day. Most are included while some specialty options are added costs such as extended fishing outings, glacier flightseeing, overnight kayaking and hiking trips ashore and river boat excursions. Included adventures run the gamut from close-in to long-range kayaking (5-10 miles), short to long, challenging hikes (6-8 hours duration), caving, stand-up paddle boarding, skiff exploration, snorkeling (yes, in Alaska!), friendly sporting contests and more. Guests pick their activity level and pace.
